Through Philippe Guédon’s lens, Marie Sauvage invites us into her world and her practice of Shibari, the Japanese art of rope bondage, which she explores as a language of the body, trust and surrender. Across a series of visually striking tableaux, Marie works with different models in ever-changing settings, transforming each session into a fleeting work of art. The ropes trace the contours of the body, reshape its relationship with space, and create a silent dialogue between artist and muse — one built on tension, vulnerability and trust.
