Skinny is being kept awake by a bad case of the hiccups. Half asleep, he guzzles down a midnight drink. Turns out Specs has forgotten sharehouse rule number one: DON'T KEEP EXPERIMENTAL LAB CONCOCTIONS IN THE KITCHEN FRIDGE. Skinny's hiccups don't get better. Unless you count "literally turning into a monster every time you hiccup" as "better". No point sitting around shedding on the furniture: Specs puts his newly monsterific buddy to good use as a Lamput-hunter. Which goes well until Skinny gets better. If you count being chased off into the distance by an angry bear as "better".
